Molecular Biology Of The Cell Fifth Edition | The Problems Book | John Wilson | Tim Hunt
About The Authors:
1. John Wilson
John Wilson earned his doctorate at the
California Institute of Technology and completed his postdoctoral training at
Stanford University. He is currently a Baylor College of Medicine Professor of
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with research interests in genome stability
and gene therapy. He has many years of experience teaching medical and graduate
students, has co-authored works on immunology, molecular biology, and
biochemistry, and has received various teaching awards, including the
Exceptional Faculty and Robertson Presidential Awards for Excellence in
Education.
2. Tim Hunt
Tim Hunt obtained his PhD in biochemistry from Cambridge University, where he spent more than 20 years supervising undergraduates in cell biology. In the mid-1970s, he spent summers at the Marine Biological Laboratories in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, and teaching molecular biology. In 1990, he accepted a position at the ICRF Clare Hall Laboratories, just outside of London, where he studies cell cycle control. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of London and a foreign associate of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America. He was one of the recipients of the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his contribution to the discovery of essential regulators of the cell cycle.
About the Book:
Molecular Biology Of The Cell Fifth Edition | The Problems Book | John Wilson | Tim Hunt is introducing the scientific foundation of cell and molecular biology, The Problems Book helps students grasp how experiments and basic calculations can lead to a knowledge of how cells work. Each chapter will go over essential vocabulary, assess understanding of fundamental concepts, and present research-based questions.
- The Problems Book is organized to correlate to the first twenty chapters of the Fifth Edition of Molecular Biology of the Cell.
- The solutions to the textbook Molecular Biology of the Cell, Fifth Edition's end-of-chapter problems are included.
- There are almost 2,000 problems and solutions in this book.
- The CD-ROM that comes with every edition of The Problems Book contains all of the solutions to the problems in the book.
- Terms to Learn, Definitions, True/False, Thought Problems, Calculations, and Data Management are the categories in which the problems are structured.
